With traditional strategies to design websites comes with many obstacles, many limitations, time-consuming and other relative errors. Subject to this reason, new technology like MVC pattern frameworks was discovered through some organizations to address such problems.  The task of manual schedule and verification of travellers' booked tickets is laborious, time-consuming and the accuracy of the manual booking system is in question. Therefore, it was a mind set of computerizing these activities. These studies present the design and implementation of a website using CodeIgniter Framework for Commercial Vehicle Ticket Reservation System. The load test functional behavior and measurement of performance was determined. The final result proved that the development was standardized and the non-commercial enterprise logic relationship of the e-transport system was automatically processed. These include Commuter companies, travellers, Human resources management activities and booking activities, thus helping transporters to efficiently handle their road transport business and other related activities.

Asian Journal of Research in Computer Science, Volume 7, Issue 2, Page 13-21
DOI: 10.9734/ajrcos/2021/v7i230175

This paper aims to measure and determine the effectiveness of the MIS units in SUCs Samar-Leyte Islands through planning, organizing, leading, and controlling as perceived by the administrators and MIS personnel.  Management functions identify and prepare the future activities to enhance the MIS units, determine the ICT resources, create a consultation, and communicate with other offices/units. This aspect brings advantages and benefits to the institution that capture the defined management objective. Benefits management identifies goals and benefits by combining organizational changes and investments in IS/IT, and also by showing the way to achieve them [1].

As a measure to sustain the effectiveness and importance of the management operation of the MIS unit, this determines the stability, identifies the expansion of services, recognized common standard policies and procedures, improvements, and development in every office in the organization.  The process uses a descriptive survey, involves collecting information through data review, surveys questionnaires, and interviews. The findings and analysis of the operational status of the MIS unit as perceived through the management functions (planning, organizing, leading, and controlling). The performance level of satisfaction and effectiveness of the MIS units in terms of management functions were considered by the respondents as very satisfactory, thus proving the effective performance of the MIS operation.  This means that the management functions had facilitated collaboratively integrated policies and procedures to properly address the processes of the MIS operations.

Ministry of higher education has recently launched an e-learning tool during the global COVID-19 pandemic in Afghanistan. Many higher learning institutions in Afghanistan have implemented e-learning tool because of its effectiveness as a learning approach. However, fever studies have shown that there are still low adoption rate of e-learning in higher education institutions in Afghanistan. This study explored the rate of adoption and an implementation framework of e-learning in Shaikh Zayed University Khost, Afghanistan. The strategy of inquiry is quantitative and the instrument for determining the perceptions of target group is questionnaire. A total of 120 instructors have participated in the survey in which some of them were IT Administrators. The survey result revealed that 37.08% of contents delivery is traditional on chalk and talk based,  47.91% contents delivered by instructors using projector and 31.66% academic staff use lab sessions at Shaikh Zayed University. As a result, the ministry of higher education in Afghanistan needs to have guidelines to help higher education institutions to implement e-learning successfully and efficiently.

Asian Journal of Research in Computer Science, Volume 7, Issue 2, Page 29-50
DOI: 10.9734/ajrcos/2021/v7i230177

Blockchain is an emerging technology that depends on distribution, decentralization, and encryption. Recently, it has gained wide interest in various fields of studies. Several considerable research on blockchain adoption has appeared in international journals across different disciplines, however, a review of literature on the adoption of blockchain remains rare. This study aimed to provide a comprehensive literature review of the current blockchain adoption studies that use individual adoption models or theories. This paper included the papers that are published in the 7 Scopus database from 2017-2021. Studies were analyzed to determine the adoption models or theories that are used, industry, country, methodology, and identify the most important influencing factors that drive the user to accept the adoption of blockchain technology. The results showed that there are still limitations in adoption studies in various fields such as health and education however, the field of supply chain management is one of the areas that received the most attention in the studies. Common studies relied on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) model as well as the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). Moreover, perceived ease of use (PEOU), perceived usefulness (PU) are considered the most important factors affecting the intention of users in adopting blockchain technology in different fields. The research findings have implications on blockchain adoption research. In terms of theory, the findings provide a guideline for the other researchers to put their own research in a better context and thus contribute to understanding the relevant blockchain adoption issues that require further investigation.
